“Regarding the argument for the lawsuit, the KPK is certainly ready to deal with it,” Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Ali Fikri told reporters, Friday, October 15.
He said the entire investigation process by the team that moved was in accordance with applicable legal procedures and rules. Thus, Ali believes the lawsuit filed by Siman will be rejected by the court.
“Nevertheless, the KPK still respects the right of every citizen to file a pretrial lawsuit for justice,” he stressed.
Previously reported, Siman filed a pretrial at the South Jakarta District Court against the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). Judging from the site sipp.pn-jakartaselatan.go.id, this lawsuit is registered with case number 90/Pid.Pra/2021/PN JKT.SEL.
In his application, Siman asked the KPK to stop the investigation because it was illegal and not based on law.
In addition, he also asked that his appointment as a suspect related to alleged corruption in the management of metal anodes be canceled.
